Have you got enough fun with Eldora with “繚乱する花束 アルフォウvsハイティ” destroying almost all Lrigs exist in All-Star (AS) format and Key Selection (KS) Tama abusing “四炎楚歌” by activating it three times in a row?
If you are tired of these, Takara Tomy has brought us the solution- they created the new format "Diva Selection"! First, let’s see what is different from the past two formats.
Remember what your Lrig deck looked like? It should have contained 10 cards including 5-6 Lrig cards, 2-4 Arts and 0-3 Keys. Guess what! You now got 10 Lrigs in your Lrig deck along with 2 “Piece” cards at the Diva Selection! I know you guys are confused and want to ask “But Wac, how are we gonna protect ourselves? Are we growing all the way up to level 9 without any protection?” Well, you are not going to grow one Lrig. Instead, you open 3 Lrigs -1 Center Lrig and 2 Assist Lrigs- at the beginning of the game like this.
In Diva Selection, Center Lrig grows up to level 3, and it grows just as it used to be in the previous format. Assist Lrigs, on the other hand, grow up to level 2 in either Main Phase or Attack Phase, and have various On-play abilities to support your strategy such as gaining resource, clearing the way for Signi attack, and preventing opponent’s attack. Each Lrig (Tawil, Umr, At from Team Ancient Surprise, and Lize, Ange, and Toko from Team Samba Carnival) has both Center Lrig and multiple kinds of Assist Lrig. Therefore, it is all up to you what your Lrig deck looks like!
In addition, when you are starting the battle with three Lrigs, you are allowed to add two extra Piece cards beside your 10 Lrig cards. Piece is similar to Arts, but it has an activation condition. Some of them only need three Lrigs on the field of any combination while some other require specific Lrig or team to be on your side. There are 8 Piece cards right now, so choose any two among the eight to support your performance!
There is also a major difference in Main deck between Diva Selection and the previous formats. In the previous formats, you could put in as many Servants as you want. You could even make deck with 40 <Origin> Signi. However, now you got only 4 copies of Servants in total! This means you can no longer guard every single turn with ease, and your Lrig attacks have more chance to deal damage. Having more access to Servants such as drawing, searching, and salvaging will be one of the most important thing you should consider while building a deck.
